The uneasy part is the send.
You have the photos. The draft sounds like something you would say. What makes you pause is the moment it leaves your hands for Etsy. If prepare and publish are the same button, you either send too early or you rewrite the listing again tonight.
This guide is about that pause. Not a better adjective. A way to move the draft forward without shoppers seeing it before you have looked.
What a single tap costs
A price you had not confirmed. A material the draft filled in. A listing fee you did not expect, because going public was bundled into the same tap as send. You then spend the evening in Etsy undoing something you would have caught if you had seen it first.
Decide in two steps
Treat “on Etsy” and “public” as different. First, put the listing where you can open it and read it, still hidden from shoppers. Then, when the facts match the photos, make it public on purpose. The second step is the one with Etsy’s listing fee (USD 0.20).

How the pilot keeps those steps apart
The agent can save the draft in your workspace from the facts and photos you gave it. It cannot approve the draft, send it, or make it public. Those steps appear as cards in the chat, and they run only when you tap Confirm.
When nothing required is still open, the card is Approve and publish to Etsy as a private draft. The button says Approve and send. Until you tap it, nothing is sent. After it succeeds, the listing is on Etsy as a private draft. Shoppers cannot see it yet. You can open it from the card and read what was sent.
Go live on Etsy is a different card. It is not part of the send. Confirming it takes two taps, so a double tap on the first button cannot skip the second. The second button says Yes, go live. The fee is written on that card: Etsy charges its listing fee (USD 0.20) when a listing goes live.
A draft in the chat is not a listing in front of shoppers.
If Etsy refuses the draft, the card says so. A failed send is not a live listing. A suggested price stays marked until you accept it. That pause is Your price and package size still have to come from you. A listing already in the shop does not use this send. It waits for Publish changes, covered in See which Etsy listings are thin before you edit them.
The same order is on your agents: the work comes back, you review it, and you decide what goes out. Open the pilot when you want to walk a real product through the two cards.
